Arizona zebra jasper wire-wrapped pendant

I intended this to be a reversible pendant, but the frame on the back went a little crooked.  Oops.

This is a flat cabochon that I cut and polished from a slab of Arizona zebra jasper.  It's a good-looking stone, and it polishes up very well.  I wrapped it with sterling silver wire.

The pendant is about 1 3/4 inches long, and weighs 0.5 oz.  I am not including a chain, but if you need one let me know & I can add one for about $14.

Turritella agate wire-wrapped pendant

This is another one of my early cabochons.  I eventually learned to put a rough dome on the front, but these early ones are all flat.

The stone is turritella agate.  The little shells you see in the stone are fossilized sea snails.  Very cool!

I wrapped the stone in gold-filled wire.  The pendant is about 2 1/4 inches long, and weighs 0.6 oz.

White fire opal pendant

Fire opals are usually the color of fire (hence their name): red, orange, yellow.  This one is white, but it does have a yellow tint.

The opal is a faceted pear, measuring about 20x14mm with a weight of 9.67 carats.  I set it in sterling silver.

The finished pendant is about an inch long and weighs 0.1 oz.  I am not including a chain, but if you need one let me know & I can add one for about $14.

Boulder opal wire-wrapped pendant

I bought this cabochon because I loved the pattern.  It's boulder opal: streaks of opal in a surrounding matrix.  It does have a couple of pits on the front, but is otherwise smooth.

The cabochon measures about 32x25x5mm, weighing 36 carats.  I wrapped it with gold-filled wire.  The finished pendant is about 2 inches long, and weighs 0.4 oz.

Rose quartz pendant

What a beautiful stone!  It's a faceted rose quartz oval, transparent, measuring 16x12mm, weighing 8.6 carats.  I set it in sterling silver.

Crazy lace agate reversible wire-wrapped pendant

This is from the very first batch of cabochons that I cut, so it's absolutely ginormous and flat on both sides, instead of domed.  The stone is called crazy lace agate, and it has a few small translucent areas.  There are a few pits, but it polished up very nicely.

I wrapped it in gold-filled wire using my reversible wrap.  The pendant is about 2 5/8 inches long, and weighs 0.8 oz.

Blue-green turquoise wire-wrapped pendant

This is a lovely pear-shaped turquoise cabochon that I purchased from the same seller as my previous two turquoise pendants.  There are surface cracks, but they do not detract from the stone's beauty.

Turquoise wire-wrapped reversible pendant

I couldn't decide which side should be the front, so I invented a reversible wrap.  You can decide for yourself which is front.  (The little coil at the bottom of the bail marks my intended reverse, but you can think of it as a decorative flourish to the front instead.)
