Ametrine faceted necklace + earrings

Here's more ametrine.  The colors range from a little lighter to a little darker than those of the ametrine necklace I just posted.  These beads aren't perfect--some of the beads do have inclusions present--but the overall quality is fairly good.

The shape of the beads is not quite an oval, but too rounded to be a rectangle.  They are faceted, and are about 8 to 9mm long.  I set them off with little vermeil spacers from Bali, and finished with a vermeil hook & eye clasp.  The necklace is 17.25 inches long, and weighs 0.6 oz.

I made ear threads to match.  (I had a little bit of trouble in the 2nd picture: the friction that keeps ear threads in place in your ears isn't sufficient to keep them in my display stand without a little maneuvering.)  The ear threads are gold-filled and weigh less than 0.1 oz.  Their length from the end of the threader to the bottom of the bead dangle is about 3.75 inches (so less than 2 inches long when worn).

Rose amethyst faceted pear earrings

This amethyst is on the pale side.  (It looks darker in the 2nd picture, but that's because the picture was taken outdoors in very bright sunlight.)  Its called "rose amethyst" because it has a pinkish cast.

The pear-shaped stones measure 6x4mm, and have a total weight of about 0.75 carats.  I set them in sterling silver.

Amethyst faceted 6mm round earrings

Amethyst faceted 4mm heart earrings

Amethysts always make me think of the Victorians, because it was highly prized by them, at least until the bottom fell out of the market when huge deposits were discovered in Brazil.  Oh well.  Anyway, these stones are little faceted hearts, measuring about 4mm per side, with a total carat weight of about 0.38.  I set them in sterling silver, and the total weight of the earrings is less than 0.1 oz.

Amethyst carved leaf bead-link necklace

These luscious amethyst beads look good enough to eat!  They're carved to look like leaves, and range in length from 10mm to 19mm.  I joined them with sterling silver wire, finishing with a Bali silver S clasp.

The necklace is 22.5 inches long, and weighs 1.7 oz.

Rainbow fluorite oval twist bead-link necklace

Here's some banded rainbow fluorite!  Only a few beads show any hint of green, so mostly what you see are the purples.  These beads are not polished to a high gloss, just a satiny sheen with some surface scratches and flaws.  They are very pretty, though.  (If you'd like to see my other fluorite necklaces, click here, here, here, here, and here.)

The ovals measure about 18x13mm, and are slightly twisted instead of being perfectly flat.  I linked each oval with sterling silver wire, finishing with a Turkish silver hook & eye clasp.
The necklace is 19.5 inches long (can be worn shorter by hooking the clasp as shown), with a weight of 1.7 oz.

Lavender "jade" rectangular nugget necklace

This isn't really jade, but a substitute, likely either serpentine or quartz.  It has been permanently dyed to give those mysterious lavender shades.

The nuggets are rectangular & measure about 10x8mm.  I alternated them with 2mm sterling silver rounds, and finished with a Bali silver hook & eye clasp.

The necklace is a smidge over 19 inches, and weighs 1.8 oz.

Rainbow fluorite twist bead-link necklace

These fluorite beads are twists, measuring about 17mm long.  Most of them have a marvelous banding effect going on.  The green ones are a little muddy, but the purple really stands out.

I linked each bead with sterling silver wire, and finished with a silver hook & eye clasp from Turkey.  The length is 24 inches, with a weight of 2.6 ounces.

Rainbow fluorite 6mm necklace

Rainbow fluorite usually has shades of purple and green, but this one's mostly purple--there are a few beads that are tinted a faint green, but they don't stand out.
The silver spacers are from Bali, and so is the S-clasp

Rainbow fluorite oval necklace

Rainbow fluorite usually shows shades of purple & green, sometimes on the same bead.  This particular batch isn't the highest grade, but it's rather nice all the same.  The beads don't have a highly polished finish, more of a satin polish.

The ovals are about 14x10mm, & they're alternated with Bali silver spacers.  The silver hook & eye clasp is also from Bali.

The length is 20.75 inches, with a weight of 1.7 oz.
