and I am very sad.

When she was a young cat, she would play Fetch. Lately, when I was in bed she would sleep at my head, switching sides if I wasn't facing the right way. When I sat at my computer, she would curl up beside me. She hated whistling, so she would always come when I whistled just so I would shut up. The fur down her spine stood up in a spiked ridge & I always called it her FauxHawk. I would tell her that she was the best Quizzie ever, the best Quizzie anyone could ever have. And she was.
I really miss her.
I am so sorry to read about your loss. I have cats too and I know what you are going through. They are more than just pets; they are family. I'm sure that Quizzie always appreciated the love and care you gave her, which is a great gift to any cat.

Thank you very much for your kind words. Pets do creep into your heart, don't they?

Oh, so sorry to hear about your kitty! When our first cat finally went into his final bout of kidney failure and we had to give him up, my husband and I couldn't draw a deep breath for weeks. Never forgotten. Wishing you the best--Jennifer Wiseman

I feel for your loss. I am surrounded by my two furry guys as I sit at my computer writing this, so my heart goes out to you. Cats are such good keyboard companions, aren't they? Take the time to grieve her properly, as it sounds that she much deserved to be honoured.

Thanks, Odette. Little Guy aka Random has taken up a bit of the slack, thankfully. You can see him here as a young kitten:
