Turquoise tiny coin necklace + earrings

Img_6228 Img_5868There are a few beads with black specks, but for the most part this turquoise is a brilliant robin's egg blue, with a nice slightly waxy feel.  (You can see my other turquoise necklaces here, here, here, here, and here.)

The little coin-shaped beads measure 6mm across & about 4mm thick.  I strung them with Bali sterling silver spacers, ending with a sterling silver lobster clasp.  The finished length is 17.5 inches, with a weight of 0.7 oz.

Img_6224 Img_5863 I made chandelier earrings to match.  The sterling silver chandelier dangles are from Bali, and I hung the turquoise beads from them with sterling silver headpins.  (The French hooks are also sterling silver.)  The bead & silver dangles are 1.5 inches long, and the earrings' total weight is 0.2 oz.

Green fluorite pendant + silver chain cut to order (up to 20 inches) + earrings

Img_6139 Img_6185Now this is a honking big stone!  This lovely faceted fluorite pear weighs about 20.5 carats, and measures 27x15mm.  It is not flawless--there are several wispy inclusions--but it is a beautiful clear green.  I set the stone in sterling silver.  The pendant measures about 1.25 inch from the top of the bail to the lower edge.  The pendant's total weight is about 0.2 oz.

I am including a sterling silver chain with it, cut from the chain you see pictured.  You may choose any length up to 20 inches long (plus or minus a few millimeters--I have to begin and end on the bigger links).  The chain is a figure eight pattern
Img_4013 and the clasp will be a sterling silver lobster clasp like this one:

I made earrings to match with two 9x9mm faceted fluorite triangles.  They're a little deeper in color, but they harmonize very well with the pendant.
Img_6134 Img_6177The stones weigh about 2.1 carats each.  I set them in sterling silver & suspended them from sterling silver post earrings.  The total weight of the earrings is 0.1 oz.

Prehnite faceted oval dangle earrings

Img_63331 Img_5837Img_5842_2I've got a ton of loose prehnite stones in my stash, but I still jumped on these when I saw them.  They're faceted ovals measuring 10.5x9mm and weighing about 2.95 carats each.  I set them in sterling silver and dangled them from silver posts.  The earrings weigh about 0.1 oz.  (You can see my other prehnite earrings here and here.)

Prehnite flat square bead-link necklace + earrings

Img_6371 Img_5769Most of these lovely prehnite beads do have inclusions (that's common with all but the most expensive prehnite), but they all have that pearly green glow that I love so much!  These particular beads came from Australia.  They are flat 14x14mm squares, and I linked each with gold filled wire, finishing with a vermeil clasp.

Img_6368 The necklace is about 23.75 inches long, and weighs 2.6 oz.  (You can shorten the length by hooking the clasp between two beads as shown.)

Img_6366 Img_5762_2I made earrings to match.  The headpins and French hooks are gold-filled, and the dangles are about 3/4 in.  The earrings weigh 0.2 oz.

Oregon sunstone round faceted earrings

Img_61741 Img_6092 Img_6099Here's another pair of Oregon sunstone earrings, this time in a larger 4mm faceted round cut.  The stones weigh about 0.24 carats each, and I placed them in gold-filled settings.

Price: $26 (shipping is free)

Oregon sunstone faceted trillion earrings

Img_6470 Img_5750 Img_5745This faceted triangular cut is called a trillion or trillian (both spellings seem to be widely used).  The lovely coppery pink stone is an Oregon sunstone, and it has a marvelous fire and shine.  The triangular stones measure 4mm & weigh about 0.22 carats each.  I used gold filled stud earrings for the setting.  (I have a sunstone necklace posted here.)

Black agate small faceted nugget necklace with pyrite stars

Img_5991 Img_62501I love the rugged beauty of these black agate beads.  The small nuggets are cut with irregular facets and measure about 8-10mm in length.  I've worked with this cut of black agate before (see here), but this time I paired them with tiny 4mm pyrite stars.  I finished with a vermeil s-clasp.

The finished necklace is just over 17.5 inches and weighs 1.1 oz.

Price: $22.40 (shipping is free)

SOLD

Hematite cabochon earrings

Img_5754 Img_5759 Img_6377Hematite is another iron compound, iron oxide.  When polished, it has a beautiful silvery gray sheen.  These cabochons are 7x5mm, and I set them in sterling silver.
Price: $12.60 (shipping is free)

Pyrite cabochon earrings

Img_5922 Img_6476Pyrite is commonly known as Fool's Gold since its tricksy appearance fooled many miners into thinking they'd found the real thing.  Alas!  They'd only found iron sulfide, worth considerably less.

The pyrite cabochons measure 7x5mm, and I set them into (real) gold-filled stud earrings.

Price: $15 (shipping is free)

Garnet cabochon silver drop necklace + earrings

Img_6459 Img_5740The garnets I used in this silver drop necklace aren't perfect--if you hold them up to the light and look through them, you can see that they have several dark inclusions--but when you look at them from the front, all you see is that brilliant slightly purplish wine red.  My supplier told me that these stones came from Africa.  They are cut cabochon-style, measuring 8x6mm and weighing about 1.5 carats each.

I set the stones in sterling silver and suspended them from a silver figure-8 style chain, finishing with a sterling silver lobster clasp.  The necklace is 16.75 inches and weighs about 0.2 oz.

Img_5734 Img_6450The stones I used in the matching earrings are a little smaller, measuring 7x5mm, with fewer inclusions.  I set them into sterling silver studs.  (The first picture was taken outside in direct sunlight, & the second was taken indoors in indirect light.)  The total weight of the earrings is less than 0.1 oz.
