Rose quartz & rock crystal drop necklace + earrings

Most of the rose quartz you see is opaque & therefore is cut cabochon style.  This rose quartz is translucent, so the faceted cut makes it sparkle!

The rose quartz in the three necklace drops are 9.7mm faceted ovals, with a total carat weight of 5.25.  I set them in sterling silver, & hung them from my favorite sterling silver figure 8 chain.  The little clear drops are made with 4mm faceted rock crystal (aka clear quartz) beads and sterling silver headpins.  The necklace is just over 16.75 inches long, and weighs 0.2 oz.
The matching earrings are made with 8x6mm faceted rose quartz ovals weighing about 1.05 carats each.  I set them in sterling silver, & hung them from sterling silver post earrings.  The total weight of the earrings is less than 0.1 oz.

Mother of pearl cabochon earrings

Here's some lovely mother of pearl for you!  The cabochons measure 8x6mm, and are about one millimeter thick.  I set them in sterling silver.

Green amethyst 6mm hexagon earrings

The 2nd picture was taken outdoors in direct sunlight.  In indoors light, there's no blue tint to these stones--they're more a very light lemony green.

Anyway, these stones are green amethysts, also known as prasiolite.  They are cut in a faceted hexagon shape (how cool is that?) measuring 6mm in diameter, and their total weight is about 1.75 carats.  I set them in sterling silver.

Rose amethyst faceted pear earrings

This amethyst is on the pale side.  (It looks darker in the 2nd picture, but that's because the picture was taken outdoors in very bright sunlight.)  Its called "rose amethyst" because it has a pinkish cast.

The pear-shaped stones measure 6x4mm, and have a total weight of about 0.75 carats.  I set them in sterling silver.
