Prehnite is my new favorite gemstone. I just love the glow it has! What I don't love are the black inclusions present in most of the prehnite bead strands that I run across, so I was very glad to find these beauties--there are a few beads with black specks, but most of them don't have any black inclusions.
Each faceted prehnite oval measures about 12x8mm. The oval sterling silver beads are from Bali, and I finished with a sterling silver lobster clasp. The necklace is 18.25 inches long, and weighs 1.3 oz.
I made earrings to match by hanging a couple of the prehnite beads on sterling silver headpins. The French hooks are also sterling silver. The longest dangle is 1.25 inches, and the earrings weigh 0.1 oz.
