Here is a lovely pale apple green prehnite gem which I have set into a pendant. (The color in the first picture is a little washed out, but it was taken outside with the sun beating down directly overhead.) It does contain a visible flaw--you don't notice it as much when you look at it directly (as in the pictures), but you can see it when you look at the gem from the side.
The stone is cut as a cabochon, and measures 17.5 x 13 mm, with a weight of about 11.7 carats. My supplier informed me that this stone came from Brazil. The pendant setting is sterling silver, and measures about 1 inch from the top of the bail to the lower edge. The pendant's total weight is about 0.1 oz.
I am including a sterling silver chain with it, cut from the chain you
see pictured. You may choose any length up to 20 inches long
(plus or minus a few millimeters--I have to begin and end on the bigger
links). The chain is a figure eight pattern
and the clasp will be a sterling silver lobster clasp like this one:
I made matching earrings.
These stones are also prehnite cabochons. They measure 12x10mm, and weigh about 5.7 carats each. I set them in sterling silver, & suspended them from sterling silver French hooks. The total weight of the earrings is 0.1 oz.
