Bloodstone is a form of chalcedony, and is most commonly colored dark green with red spots. These beads aren't totally uniform in coloration--some of the beads are red, and some of the beads are different shades of green--which I think makes them more interesting.
I strung them along with small Bali silver beads, and finished with a silver lobster clasp. The necklace is 18 inches long, and weighs 1.0 oz.

I made chandelier earrings to match, hanging beads on sterling silver pins from the Bali silver filigrees & silver French hooks. Not counting the French hooks, the earrings are about 1.5 inches long. The earrings weigh 0.2 oz.

I love the bloodstone necklace and earring set. Bloodstone (good bloodstone) is hard to find. Can you tell me if all the metal used is sterling, including the beads, clasps, and earrings? If so, I will order right away. Your stuff is beautiful.

My apologies for the delay in answering your comment! (I've been out of town.) Anyway, all the metal in this necklace is sterling silver. I sometimes leave the "sterling" descriptor out when I'm writing up my jewelry, but the silver I use is all sterling silver.
