Azurite-malachite rectangular tube bead-link necklace + earrings

Jewelry_picture_109 Jewelry_picture_178 Azurite is usually found with malachite, so it's common to refer to the combined material as azurite-malachite. Most of the azurite-malachite you see on the market has been assembled, though, and I'm pretty sure this set of beads is no exception.

I do love this material.  Azurite-malachite is a happy marriage of rich blues and green, which are my two favorite colors.  I think they go very well with the gold-filled wire I used to link the 4x13mm beads.  I finished with a small vermeil hook clasp from India.

Jewelry_picture_174 The necklace is about 20.25 inches, and weighs 0.6 oz.

Jewelry_picture_114 Jewelry_picture_170I made chandelier earrings to match.  The vermeil chandelier dangles are from Bali, and I hung the azurite-malachite beads from them with gold-filled headpins & 2mm gold-filled beads.  (The French hooks are also gold-filled.)  The bead & vermeil dangles are 1.5 inches long, and the earrings' total weight is 0.1 oz.

Price: $49.40 (shipping is free)
