I used part of the celestite strand I bought on another necklace , and the rest for this pearl necklace. The celestite beads are flat disks, measuring 12mm in diameter. They are set off with 2.5mm sterling silver beads. The pearls are freshwater and potato-shaped, not quite round. I finished with a sterling silver hook & eye leaf clasp.
The necklace is 18.25 inches long, and weighs 1.4 oz.

These lovely blue beads are celestite. They are coin-shaped, measuring 12mm in diameter. I alternated them with Bali silver double-pyramid beads, finishing with a silver hook & eye clasp. The necklace is 18.5 inches long and weighs 2.6 oz.
I made earrings by hanging a Bali silver bead & a celestite bead from sterling silver French hooks. The longest dangle is about 1.5 inches. The earrings weigh 0.3 oz.

Ametrine is another stone that's new to me. They're a combination of amethyst & citrine. These particular beads sparkled to me at the local bead shop, so I had to take them home with me.
The ametrine beads measure about 9mm from corner to corner, and they're faceted in a cushion cut. The little gold beads are Bali vermeil, and I finished with a Bali vermeil S clasp.
The dangles in each earring are made from an ametrine bead, a 2mm gold-filled bead, and a gold-filled headpin; the dangles are attached to gold-filled French hooks. The longest dangle is about 1.5 inches, and the earrings weigh 0.1 oz.
The necklace is 18.75 inches long and weighs 1.0 oz.

Although kyanite gets its name from the Greek word for blue, it apparently comes in green as well, and I've been seeing more of the green variety around lately. (You can see my blue kyanite necklace here.)
These kyanite beads are ovals measuring about 9x6mm. I used 3mm gold-filled beads as spacers, and finished with a gold-filled lobster clasp. The necklace is 17 inches long, and weighs 0.6 oz.
For the earrings, I strung kyanite and gold-filled beads on loops of gold-plated/nylon coated beading wire, hanging the loops from gold-filled French hooks. The loops are about 1.25 inches long, and the earrings weigh less than 0.1 oz.

I know the name is a bit over the top, but that's what I called this necklace all the time I was working on it. :)

My vendor called this "snow jade", but it's really snow quartz. It's just as lovely under either name, I think.

More adventures in gemstones! The stones are labradorite, set in sterling silver. The stones are .98 carats each, trillion/trillian cut, and measure 7mm per side. The first picture was taken in direct sunlight.

This is actually the first gemstone I ever set. I would have posted it earlier, but I was waiting for some supplies to arrive so that I could offer a sterling silver chain cut to order along with it.
The stone is a 9.86 carat rose quartz faceted pear, measuring 18mm long by 13mm wide by 9mm thick. I set it in a sterling silver basket-type pendant setting, which measures about 1 inch from the top of the bail to the lower edge. The pendant weighs 0.1 oz.
I am including a sterling silver chain with it, cut from the chain you see pictured above. You may choose any length up to 20 inches long (plus or minus a few millimeters--I have to begin and end on the bigger links). The chain is a figure eight pattern
and the clasp will be a sterling silver lobster/trigger clasp similar to this one:

I've been experimenting with loose gemstones lately, and this is one of my first results: a pair of iolite earrings. (I photographed them under both direct and indirect sunlight.)
The stones are cut into faceted triangles (otherwise known as a trillian cut) and set into sterling silver. The total weight of the stones is 0.30 carats.
