Smoky quartz 6mm lantern necklace + earrings

I think the 4-sided lantern shape is fascinating, so when I saw these smoky quartz beads, I grabbed them.  (I have an earlier amethyst necklace that also features the lantern shape.)

These beads measure about 5mm from hole to hole and 6mm in diameter.  I strung them with Bali vermeil spacer beads, and finished with a Bali vermeil s-clasp.

This is the second time I've made a necklace with earrings.  I made each dangle by stringing one smoky quartz lantern bead and two 2mm round gold-filled beads on a gold-filled headpin.  The longest dangle is not quite 2 inches (about 1 7/8 in.).

The necklace has a length of 18.75 inches, with a weight of 1.1 oz.  The earrings weigh 0.1 oz.
