Blue chalcedony heart bead-link necklace + earrings

I originally posted a version of this necklace in April, but I wasn't satisfied with it, so I revamped it.  The dangle is shorter now and consists of just one bead with a tiny silver heart covering the point (you can't really see it unless you pick up the bead & look at the bottom).

I also made a pair of very simple earrings to match the necklace, using the two extra beads from the old dangle and the cute silver pins with hearts:

The Bali silver ear wires match the Bali silver clasp hook.  Cool!

All of this talking, and I still haven't talked about the actual stones.  Anyway, these beads are chalcedony (pronounced kal-sid'-nee) which has been dyed a rich blue.  I washed them well to make sure that the dye would not come off.

The hearts are about 16mm long.  I linked them with sterling sterling silver wire, & used a Bali silver hook & eye clasp.

The necklace has a length of 18.5 inches, with a weight of 1.8 oz.  The earrings weigh 0.2 oz.
