Chrysoprase flat diamond bead-link necklace

It took me a while to purchase these beads, because I kept admiring them & then looking at the price.  Admiration finally won.

The stone is chrysoprase, one of the most prized varieties of quartz.  It's valued for its rich green color, which it gets from its nickel content.

These particular beads are flat square diamonds, measuring 18mm from corner to corner.  I linked each with gold-filled wire, and finished with a vermeil hook & eye clasp from India.

The necklace is 24 inches long (can be worn shorter by hooking clasp as shown), and weighs 2.4 oz.
