Copper full persian chain maille necklace

This weave is the "full persian 6-in-1", otherwise known as the foxtail weave.  It's an airy looking weave and it turned out fairly well, except for one mistake which I feel compelled to point out.  You can see it at the bottom curve of the 2nd picture.

It isn't hugely apparent, though.

Okay, down to vital statistics.  The rings for the weave are copper and so is the hook & eye clasp.  The necklace is about 20 inches long and 6-7mm thick, with a weight of 1.3 oz.

Copper shaggy loops chain maille bracelet + earrings

The weave for this bracelet is called "shaggy loops" or "flip-flop" because of the movement it makes.  When you shake it, the moving loops make a faint little tinkly sound, so you wouldn't want to be wearing it if you were trying to sneak up on someone.

The bracelet is about 7 inches long, and about 5-6mm thick, with a weight of 0.5 oz.  The rings used for the weave are copper, as is the toggle clasp.

I made earrings to match with solid copper French hooks.  The dangles are about an inch long, and the earrings weigh 0.2 oz.

Rock crystal faceted oval earrings

The stones in these earrings are rock crystal, otherwise known as white (or clear) quartz.  They are faceted ovals, measuring 14x12mm & weighing about 6.17 carats each.  I set them in sterling silver & fastened the settings to sterling silver French hooks.  The earrings weigh about 0.1 oz.

Copper orbital chain maille bracelet

Here's a big & bold bracelet for you!  I made this bracelet with copper jumprings using an orbital weave.  I finished with a copper toggle clasp.

The bracelet is about 12mm thick, with a length of about 8 inches.  It weighs 0.8 oz.

Copper double spiral chain maille bracelet

This weave is also known as the rope weave.  (There is a single spiral weave, but the spiral isn't stable & if it's not joined to itself, the spiral falls out.  Doubling the rings makes the spiral stable.)

The clasp is a solid copper folding clasp, and the rings used for the weave are also copper.  The bracelet is about 5.5mm in diameter, with a length of 7.5 inches.  It weighs 0.4 oz.

Peacock pearl small nugget necklace + earrings

These pearls are called peacock because of their color, which can't be pinned down to a single shade: among the tones present are blue, green, purple, and pink.  They are irregularly shaped, about 4-5mm in diameter.  I strung them with 2.5mm round sterling silver beads, finishing with a Bali sterling silver hook & eye clasp.  The necklace is about 17 3/8 inches long, with a weight of 0.4 oz.

I made hoop earrings to match.  The hoops are sterling silver, about 0.75 inches in diameter.  They weigh less than 0.1 oz.

Pearl nugget and gold-filled chain necklace + earrings

Here's the gold-filled counterpart to my previous necklace.  I used gold-filled figure eight chain, and finished with a gold-filled lobster clasp.  The necklace is 17 inches long, with a weight of 0.2 oz.

The matching earrings are made with gold-filled posts.  The longest dangle is about 1.25 inches, and the earrings weigh 0.2 oz.

Pearl nugget and silver chain necklace + earrings

These pearls are far from perfect, but they have a beautiful luster.  They are irregularly shaped freshwater pearls measuring about 7-8mm in diameter.  (You can see my other pearl necklaces here, here, here, here, here, and here.)

I used my favorite figure eight chain in sterling silver to join the pearl links, and I finished with a sterling silver lobster clasp.  The length of the necklace is 17 inches, with a weight of 0.2 oz.

I made matching earrings by hanging pearl & chain dangles from sterling silver post earrings.  The longest dangle is 1.25 inches, and the earrings weigh 0.2 oz.

Mother of pearl nugget bead-link necklace + earrings

These beads are mother of pearl, and they really are fabulous.  I first ordered them on a whim, and I was so impressed when they arrived that I had to order more.  I don't think my pictures can do justice to the amount of silvery flash that each nugget has.

The nuggets are graduated a bit in size, from roughly 12 to 21mm in length.  I linked each nugget with sterling silver wire, and finished with a Bali silver s-clasp.

The necklace is 24.5 inches long (can be worn shorter by hooking the clasp between two beads as shown), with a weight of 2.1 oz.

Green turquoise flat diamond & gold-filled chain necklace + earrings

The flat diamond-shaped green turquoise beads come from the same strand as my previous necklace.  I couldn't decide whether to use gold or silver, so I made one of each.  I used gold-filled figure eight chain, finishing with a gold-filled lobster clasp.  This necklace is longer than its silver counterpart, with a length of 17.5 inches.  It weighs 0.2 oz.

Green turquoise flat diamond & silver chain necklace + earrings

I bought these beautiful turquoise beads on my Albuquerque trip last year.  Gorgeous!  They're a lovely green instead of the usual blue, and they measure about 11mm from corner to corner.  I linked them with my favorite sterling silver figure eight chain, finishing with a silver lobster clasp.  (You can see my other turquoise necklaces here, here,  here, here, here, here, and here.)

Green aventurine 6mm necklace + earrings

Here's some lovely green aventurine beads!  They are round, 6mm in diameter.  I strung them with 5mm silver mesh beads, finishing with a Bali silver hook & eye clasp.   (You can see my other aventurine necklaces here, here, here, and here.)

Elephant skin jasper flat oval bead-link necklace + earrings

This stone was sold to me as golden lace agate, but I've seen it elsewhere as elephant jasper or elephant skin stone or elephant skin jasper.  It certainly looks more like a jasper than an agate to me.

These particular beads are flat ovals measuring about 18x13mm.  I joined each with gold-filled wire, finishing with a vermeil s-clasp. 

The necklace is about 20 inches long (you can wear it shorter by hooking the clasp between two beads as shown), and weighs 1.7 oz.

Madagascar rose quartz faceted 8mm necklace + earrings

I don't know if this rose quartz actually came from Madagascar or if it's just called that because of its fineness.  What I do know is that Madagascar rose quartz is know for its exceptional color and clarity.  Most rose quartz is opaque, but these beads are translucent, with just a faint cloudiness keeping them from transparency.  They are faceted rounds, measuring 8mm in diameter.  (You can see my other rose quartz necklaces here, here, and here.)

The little silver beads are faceted twists from Thailand and are 99% pure silver (sterling silver is 92.5% silver).  The s-clasp is sterling silver, from Bali.  The finished length is 19 inches, with a weight of 1.3 oz.

Black line jasper oval bead-link necklace + earrings

One of my suppliers calls this particular stone "black water jasper", another, "picasso jasper", and a third, "black line jasper".  About all they seem to agree on is that it's jasper!

Blue labradorite faceted diamond & gold-filled chain necklace + earrings

This is the last of my fabulous blue labradorite beads.  If you ignore the blue flash, the beads are more of a dark gray than blue, but the amount of blue fire is amazing and it does give the beads an impression of blue.

The faceted flat diamonds measure about 20-21mm from corner to corner. I used gold-filled wire to fasten each bead to my favorite gold-filled figure 8 chain, finishing with a gold-filled lobster clasp.  The finished length is about 17 inches, with a weight of 0.4 oz.

I made matching earrings with gold-filled French hooks, and added vermeil dangles to the ends.  Minus the hooks, the earrings are 2 inches long.  The earrings weigh 0.3 oz.

Blue lace agate faceted 8mm necklace + earrings

Blue lace agate is a pastel blue and white banded agate.  These particular beads are faceted and are 8mm in diameter.  I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do with them until I bought these fabulous Thai silver wire-wrap beads!  I finished with a Bali silver s-clasp, giving the necklace a final length of 17.75 inches with a weight of 1.4 oz.  (You can see my other blue lace agate necklace here.)

Black obsidian carved rose bead-link necklace + earrings

These beads are plain ol' black obsidian, but they have been carved into roses.  (They're only roses on one side, with the other being dome-shaped.  I turned over the bead closest to the hook in the first picture so that you could see its back.)  They measure roughly 18mm from side to side.  I linked each with gold-filled wire, finishing with a vermeil hook & eye clasp.

Golden sheen obsidian flat diamond bead-link necklace + earrings

I'm fascinated by these beads.  Its lovely golden sheen comes from gas bubbles in the lava flow that produced the obsidian.  (I have another golden sheen obsidian necklace here.)
